Allen Louis Poehl, age 51, passed away on November 22, 2023. He was born on November 28, 1971, in Houston, Texas. Allen was a loving father, devoted partner, and a cherished son.
Allen had a warm and funny personality that captured the hearts of all who knew him. His sense of humor brought joy and laughter to countless gatherings and he had an innate ability to turn any situation into a lighthearted one. He will always be remembered as a funny and happy guy who could bring a smile to anyone's face.
One of Allen's proudest accomplishments was being a dedicated father to his beloved son, Connor. Allen's love for Connor knew no bounds, and he made it his priority to create lasting memories with his precious boy. Whether it was attending sporting events or spending quality time at their family property in Frenstat, Allen valued every moment spent with Connor.
Aside from being a loving father, Allen dedicated much of his time to supporting his favorite sports teams, the Astros and the Texans. He found great pleasure in watching games and cheering for his beloved teams. His passion for sports brought him closer to friends and family as they shared in the excitement together.
Allen's memory will forever be cherished by those closest to him. He leaves behind his loving son Connor Poehl, who meant the world to him. Additionally, Allen is survived by his fiancée Kim Tisdale whose unwavering love brought much happiness to his life. His mother Wanda Poehl will always hold dear the memories they shared together. He is also survived by his uncle Harmon Poehl Jr. He is preceded in death by his father Thomas Louis Poehl and his grandparents.
The funeral service honoring Allen's life will be held on December 4, 2023, at Strickland Funeral Home located at 530 TX-36 in Caldwell, Texas. The service will commence at 11:00 AM and will be followed by the interment at Caldwell Masonic Cemetery, located at 1411 W 12th St in Caldwell. The interment is scheduled to begin at 12:15 PM.
During these challenging times, it is important to support one another as we come together to celebrate Allen's life. Let us remember him for his contagious laughter, his love for his family, and the joy he brought to all of our lives. Allen will forever remain in our hearts and memories as an exceptional human being who brightened our days with his humor and kindness.
