Autumn Harry

A Memorial service for Autumn Harry, 81, of Caldwell is set for 10:00 a.m., Saturday, July 15, 2017 at Strickland Funeral Home in Caldwell with Pastor Worth Hewitt officiating. Mrs. Harry passed away on July 9, 2017 in Round Rock, Texas. Visitation will be from 9:30 to 10:00 a.m. preceding the service.

Autumn was born June 6, 1936 to Arno C. Lamb and Marcella (Rooks) Lamb in Highlands, Texas. She married Glenn Harry on August 11, 1956 at Park Temple Baptist Church in Houston, Texas.

Autumn was a member of Forest Oaks Baptist Church in Houston for 32 years, where she taught Sunday school, played the piano for her class and was the church librarian. She enjoyed many hobbies, such as cooking, canning, camping, oil painting, sewing, spending time with “Pretty Girl” her pet bird as well as her ducks and geese. She loved having family time with her children and grand children and being “Cleo the tomato” for the Brazos Valley Master Gardeners Pizza ranch.

Autumn’s true passion was being in touch with the earth through planting, growing, propagating, and educating others in all aspects of gardening. She was a member of the Brazos Valley Master Gardeners Club, and the Lyons Extension Club.
Autumn was preceded in death by her parents, and sister Arnette (Lamb) Dinn.

She is survived by her husband Glenn Harry of Caldwell; son Darrel Harry of Houston; daughter and son-in-law, Amber & Jerry Homan of Brenham, Texas; sister, Carol Seacat of League City; grandchildren, Joshua Homan, James Homan, Jonathan Homan, and Ashley Homan. The family asks that memorial contributions be directed to St. Jude’s Children Hospital.
