Billy Welch

Mr. Billy Wayne Welch, known to many as “Pa”, passed away on September 3, 2021.

Billy was born on March 25, 1937, to parents Noble Fisk Welch and Bessie (Jones) Welch. He was born in Munday, Texas but grew up in Knox County.

Billy worked as a contract welder for most of his adult life. He held jobs in the oil field that took him to many places in Texas.

Billy was united in marriage to Georgia Crosby on April 3, 1964. They enjoyed 57 years together prior to his passing.

Billy was a hardworking man who loved Jesus and loved his family and friends. He and Georgia spent many wonderful evenings on the patio singing and listening to their favorite old country music, while enjoying their favorite beverage and each other.

Billy is survived by his wife Georgia Alma Welch, son Billy Wayne Welch of Somerville, TX. Daughters Rachelle Gaines of Midland, TX, Sherry Lynne Soules of Somerville, TX, Melinda Suzanne Welch of Deanville, TX. Grandchildren Scott Gaines, Heather Benson, Brandi Soules, Cody Soules, Scotty and wife Larissa Soules, Marcus and wife Isabell Pratt, Kimberly and husband Luis Hernandez. Great -Grandchildren Corbin, Jr, Anthony, Mason and Selena. His loving nephew Stephen Mitchell Latham.

Billy is preceded in death by his parents Noble Fisk Welch and Bessie (Jones) Welch and five siblings.
