Bonnie Brown,85, of Brenham passed away Monday, May 11, 2020.

Visitation will be Saturday, May 16 from 1 pm until 5 pm at Strickland Funeral Home and Sunday May 17 from 10 am until noon. A graveside service will be held at Oaklawn Cemetery Sunday, May 17 at 2 pm with Pastor Corby Brizendine officiating.

Bonnie grew up in Somerville and was a member of First Baptist Church of Somerville. At eighteen she moved to California and lived with her grandmother, Carrie Little.

She married Walter Brown and moved to Ohio. They loved traveling and going to Nascar races. She was a devoted housewife and faithful Christian. Bonnie was a dear aunt and will be missed by many. She spent several years at the Brenham Nursing Home and made her room special with photos and memorabilia from family and friends. She enjoyed working word puzzles and playing dominos with her friends.

Bonnie is survived by her nephews, Keith Barton and wife Brenda, Greg Barton; niece, Tracy Rover; great nieces, Briana Brown, Victoria Randall; great nephews, Christopher Barton, Gabriel Tipton and numerous cousins.

She is preceded in death by her Parents, Wilburn Barton and Sophie Brantley Barton; husband, Walter Brown and brother, Randy Barton and wife Carolyn.

Memorials can be made to the hospice of your choice.
