Charles Delahoussaye, Sr.

Visitation Services for Charles Richard Delahoussaye, Sr., 69, of Caldwell are scheduled for 9:00 a.m.to 12:00 p.m., Monday, May 4, 2020 at Strickland Funeral Home in Caldwell. A Private Celebration of Life and burial will be held at a later date.

Charles was born October 5, 1950 to James Daniel Delahoussaye and Marguerite Elizabeth (Slayton) Delahoussaye in Nederland, Texas. He married Linda Knobloch on August 31, 1996 at Elizabeth Lutheran Church in Caldwell, Texas.

Charles loved to cook, he loved to BBQ, and he always made people laugh. He treated all his customers as if they were family and excelled at his job. His hobbies were fishing and watching movies. He enjoyed listening to Hootie & the Blowfish, Brooks & Dunn, the Eagles, and George Strait. He liked Root Beer, and was a very happy person. Charles was a devout Christian.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Linda Delahoussaye of Caldwell; sons, Charles Richard Delahoussaye, Jr. and wife Wendy of Montgomery, Jeremie Knighton Delahoussaye of Frisco, Jerett Lawrence Delahoussaye of Nederland; daughters, Racheal Rene Richardson and husband, Brock of Bridge City, Scottie Michelle Jones and husband Brandon, of Pearland; brother, Danny Delahoussaye and wife Earlyne of Nederland; sister, Sharon LeBlanc of Jennings, Louisiana; grandchildren, Dylan, Noah and Hunter Delahoussaye, Jerry Hurtado, Caeley Hurtado, Jace Stampley, Allison and Timothy Britton, Brianna Glosser, Kolten and Zach Delahoussaye, Dayn and wife Megan Gray, Asher and Ayden Richardson, Henry and Travis Jones; great grandchildren, Gunner and Cooper Gray, Violet Wright, Jade Colvin; and numerous nieces, nephews and other family.
