Claudia Dyer

Claudia Dean Dyer, 84, of Somerville went to her heavenly home on Monday, November 14, 2016. Service will be 2 pm, Saturday, November 19, at First United Methodist Church in Somerville.
Claudia was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and aunt. She was always serving and waiting on others. She was loved and adored by everyone who knew her. She unselfishly loved all of us. She loved Jesus and her wonderful friends at church. From young children to friends in their 90's. She talked to Jesus as her personal friend. She planted and nurtured her beautiful flowers. She used to be a sharp shooter with bulls-eye accuracy. She loved nature, bright stars, sunrises, sunsets and butterflies. She spoke a calming and loving language that all of her pets understood. A special communication and bond. She was the original dog whisperer. She adored her children and grandchildren, nieces and nephews. However, the one she treasured most was her beloved husband, confidant and best friend whom she married 68 years ago and loved and treasured him more and more with each new day. She will be forever missed but never forgotten. She will always hold a special place in everyone's heart.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Claude N. Hays and Carrie Harrison Hays, sisters, Jeanne Paulas and Virginia Ruth Breckon.

She is survived by her husband, Tommy Dyer, son, Terry Dean Dyer and wife Phyllis, daughters, Dawna Stemmer, Cheryl Chesser and husband Brad, five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Memorials can be made to First United Methodist Church of Somerville or Hospice Brazos Valley.
