Our beloved Epifania De La Rosa passed away peacefully on January 14, 2016. She was 78 years old. Born April 7, 1937 to Teodoro and Jesusa Arredondo in Somerville, Texas. Graduate of Somerville High School. She married Ezequiel De La Rosa on July 29, 1961. Had three children.
Epifania is proceeded in death by her husband, Ezequiel, parents, Teodoro and Jesusa Arredondo, sisters, Ramona Arredondo, Francis Venega, brothers, Alejandro Santiago, Lutero, Domingo and Ernesto Arredondo.
Epifania has always instilled in her children the importance of faith, family values and education. She was proud of her three college graduate children. She has always been involved at St. Ann''s Catholic Church with various ministries especially the Altar Society. Epifania worked at the Texaco with her sister Josefina, the store was a family operated business. She has always been there for all of her family members. If they needed something she would go out of her way to make sure it was accomplished. She will be truly missed.
She is survived by daughter, Rebecca De La Rosa of Hutto, Texas, sons, Juan De La Rosa and wife Mary of Hutto, Texas, Martin De La Rosa and wife Vanessa or Pflugerville, Texas, precious grandsons, Alex, Jesse, Noah, David De La Rosa, sisters, Josefina Arredondo of Hutto, Texas, Angela Manna of Temple, Texas, brother, Mathias Arredondo of Somerville, Texas along with numerous nieces and nephews.
A rosary will be recited at St. Ann''s Catholic Church in Somerville, Texas on Friday, January 29 at 7p.m. A Christian Mass will be Saturday, January 30 at 1 p.m. Following mass, her ashes will be laid to rest at Oaklawn Cemetery at her parent''s gravesite. On February 13, ashes will be interred at Hill Crest Cemetery, Temple, Texas at her husband''s gravesite.
