Eunice Smith

Eunice Melna Smith, 77, of Somerville passed away December 27, 2020 in Bryan, Texas. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, January 7, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Strickland Funeral Home Chapel in Somerville, Tx. A family gathering will be from 11:00 am till Service time. The Burial will be Friday, January 8, 2021 @ Forest Park East Cemetery in Webster, TX. at  p.m.

Eunice was born October 19, 1943 in Beaumont, Texas to parents Tom McBurnett and Leola (Morgan) McBurnett. While growing up in Beaumont she was very involved in the Family Race Horse Business. She graduated from Milby High School in Houston, Tx. She enjoyed traveling to Mexico, Hawaii, and El Salvador. She loved being outdoors seeing and experiencing life, Camping, fishing, trips to the River. When she was young she Barrel Raced and was a Flag Rider with various Rodeos which she loved doing. Her passion was her family she cherished her time with them especially her grandchildren and great grandkids.

She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 sisters, Neita Lamb and Fannie Stell.

Eunice is survived by her loving family, Rick Smith & wife Derrilyne Jane of Somerville, Tx., and David Smith & wife Lorena of Katy, Tx., 5 grandchildren; Timothy Bridges & wife Claudia, Justin Smith, Brandon Smith & wife Kimberly, Kenzie Smith and Spencer Smith, also by 7 great grandchildren, Leo Bridges, Tino Bridges, Clauda Jade Bridges, Molly Smith, Maggie Smith, Bariha Smith, and Kyrian Smith.

Serving as Honorary Pallbearers are; Rick Smith, David Smith, Brandon Smith, Justin Smith, John Smith and Timothy Bridges.
