Faith passed peacefully surrounded by her four children on September 28, 2021. Born May 5, 1959, in Cortez, Colorado, to Wilma and G.A. “Tommy” Asbery, the 5th of six children. Shortly after her birth, the family relocated to California where she grew up with her brothers and sisters. They moved to Seattle, Washington and she graduated from Lynnwood High School. Soon after, the family moved to Grove, Oklahoma, where Faith met and fell in love with her late husband, Ray Formby, while working at Pizza Hut.
A devoted wife, mother, teacher and friend to all she knew and loved, Faith put her heart and soul into all she did adding sparkle to everything she touched. Born with the gifts of patience and kindness, she began teaching, her greatest passion for nearly 40 years.
A true nurturer, she had immense love for children, not only her own, but the hundreds of children she taught throughout her teaching career. Her drive was fueled by the smiles on children’s faces and the purity of their souls. A blossoming and contagious smile that always had time to sit down with a child and sing them a song to bring them comfort and joy. She was very creative, always finding a way to make things special, whether that be decorating her home for EVERY holiday or creating beautiful flower beds, her love for frill and fluff will be missed.
Her greatest joy of all was being the best Nana to her six grandsons. She took great pride in making everything special for them, down to the last detail filling every card with glitter or confetti.
She had a deep love for the Lord, especially enjoying praise and worship songs as well as old hymns, but the biggest testament to this would be the cross wall she always displayed in her home, providing her comfort and peace.
Faith is survived by her children, Jillian Haney and family: Chad, Crayton and Carter; Jordan Formby and family: Danielle, Gage and Jackson; Haven Scarmardo and family: Ty, Cash and Caleb; Holland Formby and family: Pierce and Benjamin. Her loving sister Beth Schad (Jack). Brothers, Johnny Asbery and Harry Asbery (Sandy). Father-in-law, Melvin Formby. Sister and Brother-in-laws: Sherry Smith (Tad), Dory Scarmardo (David), Benji Formby, and Teresa Asbery. As well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends that she loved dearly.
Faith is preceded in death by her parents, Tommy and Wilma Asbery. Brothers, Randy Asbery and Robby Asbery. Late husband, Ray Formby and Mother-in-law, Eunice Formby.

Psalm 23:1-6 ESV
The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul. He leads me in paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; you anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the LORD forever.
