Gregory Albert Calzada JR 10/08/1962- 12/28/2021 Somerville, TX
Gregory spent his childhood years in California and competed on the high school swim team. Gregory and his young bride moved to Texas, started a family and had three wonderful children. Over the course of his professional life, he owned a landscaping company with his mother and was a diesel mechanic for John Deere. After earning his degree he practiced as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) and later became a Registered Nurse in the operating room.
Becoming a traveling nurse gave him the opportunity to enjoy fishing many parts of the country. When he was home, he enjoyed gardening and keeping his land.
He exercised his taste buds and intestines with any kind of hot sauce his friends would dare to send. He was a fan of preparation for the future and self-sustainable living. He was an avid enthusiast of the right to bear arms and some our fondest memories were fishing trips when were young.
He is survived by his partner and mate of 20 years Katherine Monroe, brothers George and Tom, his children; Gregory, Lorene, Michelle, Richard Jr., Karen Elizabeth, Daniel "Chopper" and Michael Timothy. Twelve grandchildren; Kendan, Dean, Artana, Michael, Eric, Josie, Aris, Owen, Embry, Jessica "Chuckles", Richard II "R3" and Sarah "Munka" and a Great Uncle to Maverick.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Leonore and his father, Gregory Sr.
