Guadalupe Revilla

Service for Guadalupe Tena Revilla, 71, of Caldwell are set for 2:00 p.m., Monday, June 20, 2016 at Strickland Funeral Home in Caldwell with Rev. Joe Williams officiating. Interment will follow at Masonic Cemetery in Caldwell. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Sunday, June 19, 2016 also at the funeral home. Mrs. Revilla died June 16, 2016 in Houston, Texas.

Lupe was born January 1, 1945 in Maysfield, Texas to Santos Tena and Julia Aguillon Tena.

Lupe has always been a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, tia (aunt) and friend. She was a strong, faithful, go to prayer warrior and a God fearing woman. Lupe was very active with Iglesia De Dios in Cameron, Texas, where she taught Sunday school for 10 years, was program director for Christmas, held all offices in the women's ministry. She was both a Sunday school and Missionettes teacher with Temple La Hermosa in Caldwell where she was very active with the church. She attended and was an active pillar of the church at Full Gospel Holiness Church in Caldwell. She loved to sew, cook, enjoyed puzzles, bible trivia, scrabble, flowers, family gatherings and sleep overs with her sisters and her grandbabies. Everybody was her favorite.

Lupe was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Cruz Reyes.

She is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, Joe Revilla of Caldwell; son and daughter-in-law, Robert & Dina Revilla of Bryan; daughter and son-in-law, Angie & Carlos Cruz of Caldwell; brother and sister-in-law, Raymond & Felipa Tena of Caldwell; sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary Valdez of Cameron, Antonia & Joe Cantu of Troy, Irene Gonzales of Buckholts, Frances Huerta of Buckholts, Janie & Emilio Santos of Cameron, Estella & Domingo Balboa of Cameron; grandchildren Crystal Cruz, Amy Cruz, Farrah Revilla, Genevive Revilla, Demarie Revilla, Gianna Revilla, Adalia Revilla, Sarah Fehr, Trevor Fehr; and great grandchild, Ariya Romero.

Active pallbearers will be Bobby Lee Tena, Jimmy Lee Balboa, Danny Revilla, Martin Revilla, Chris Valdez, Ray Medelion Joe Cantu, Jr., Jesse James Huerta, James Balboa and Aaron Valdez. Honorary pallbearers are Crystal Cruz, Amy Cruz, Farrah Revilla, Genie Revilla, DeMarie Revilla Shelly Tena and Trevor Fehr.
