Henry Sefcik

May 30, 1925 — September 29, 2016

Henry was born May 30, 1925 to John Sefcik and Millie (Berka) Sefcik in Rockdale, Texas.
Henry loved anything to do with the outdoors, especially going fishing every weekend. He enjoyed playing country music with his Medicare Jam Band. They played at the Manor and once a week at Steep Hollow Community Center. He played guitar, dominoes, washers and other games, loved tinkering with his hands and spending time in the garden, chopping wood and dancing with his wife Verna at the Sons of Herman Hall. His CB handle was Minnow Bucket.
Henry was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Velma (Winslow) Sefcik; two infant sons; two sisters, Betty Zavada, Lillie Zavada; and son-in-law, Woody (Woodrow) McAda.
He is survived by his wife Verna Mae Sefcik; sons and daughters-in-law, Arnold & Sharon Sefcik of Stockbridge, GA, Jimmy & Joan Sefcik of Danbury, Texas; daughters and sons-in-law, Shirley & Donny Shaddock of Lake Jackson, Linda McAda of Angleton, Texas, Doris & Jeffrey Dugger of Fayetteville, TN.; step daughters, Cheryl Hoffman of Caldwell, and Patti Horton and husband Roy of Brenham; brother and sister-in-law, Johnny & Becky Zavada of West Liberty, OH., 18 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Arnold Sefcik, Jr., Les Schoonover, Calvin Schoonover, Jerry Evans, Coby Fuchs, T.J. Patterson, Bill Monigold, and Roy Horton. The grandchildren will act as honorary pallbearers.

Military Honors will be provided by Earl Graham Post #159 American Legion Bryan,Tx.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to Hospice Brazos Valley.
