Jamie Lueck

Jamie (DiAnn) Lueck, 61, of Somerville, formerly of Corpus Christi, went to her heavenly home on Monday, December 24, 2018.

Services for Jamie (DiAnn) Lueck will be Saturday, December 29, 1 p.m. at Lyons Community Chapel, with Pastor Joel Lamb officiating. Visitation will be Friday, December 28 at Strickland Funeral Home in Somerville from 11 a.m. until 9 p.m.

DiAnn was passionate with an incredible, overwhelming love for her family, especially her husband of 28 years, 38 year old son, 95 year old father, mother that she missed each and every day after her mother’s passing 8 years ago at the age of 86, and her three loving brothers, her mother-in-law along with her two brother in laws.

DiAnn wasn’t much of a cat person until Doodlebit became a part of the family and she really loved and adored him. When she wasn’t fellowshipping with friends or family or finding that special deal at a local thrift store, she would want to be fishing on the coast or at the beach, oh how she loved the beach. Riding stand up jetskis and hunting for sand dollars were a couple of her other favorite past times as well but not at the same time of course.

She was crazy about bears; three bedroom house; one was for DiAnn and Donnie, the other for their son, Garrett and the third bedroom was for all of the teddy bears that DiAnn couldn’t do without. Some of her other favorite things were fried shrimp, grilled shrimp, baked shrimp, shrimp cocktail, peel and eat shrimp and even better if she was eating them in one of her many fuzzy warm pajamas.

Nursing school was quite challenging for DiAnn but she really valued her degree and cherished the people she met and made a difference with throughout her 30 plus year career.

She is preceded in death by mother, Jane Davis and son, Jameson Lueck.

Survivors include her father, James Davis; husband, Donnie Lueck; son, Garrett Lueck; brothers, Jimmy Davis, David Davis and wife Teresa, Danny Davis and wife Lynn; mother-in-law, Billie Lueck; brother-in-law’s, Kenneth Lueck and Keith Lueck along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Pallbearers will be Donnie Lueck, Garrett Lueck, Danny Davis, David Davis, Kenneth Lueck and Keith Lueck.

Honorary pallbearer will be James Davis.

Memorial contributions may be made to Strickland Funeral Home or Lyons Community Chapel.
