Jasmine Maxwell

Jasmine Maxwell, 18, of Somerville passed away Saturday, May 9, 2020.

Visitation will be at Strickland Funeral Home in Somerville on Saturday, May 16 from 10 a.m. – 8 p.m. and Sunday, May 17 from 12 p.m. – 6 p.m.

Jasmine was a vivacious, funny, outgoing, strong young woman who lit up every room she walked in. She enjoyed mudding, music, fishing, anything outdoors, being with friends and being a big sister to all the younger kids around her. Jasmine was the glue that held her family together and always played the role of peace maker. She was a Junior at Somerville High School. She was the oldest of three children and took her role as big sister seriously. Jasmine always had something to say in any situation and could always make everyone laugh. Sunflowers were her favorite in any form. Jasmine will be greatly missed by all who knew her, because to know her was to love her.

Jasmine is survived by her Parents, Jerry “Bubba” Maxwell, Amy Dodson; Sisters, McKenzie Maxwell, Dezarey Maxwell; grandparents; Rhonda “Nanoo” Dodson-Zettle and husband Pat, Dale Maxwell, Dale Dodson and wife Sue, David Ator; great grandpa, Bill Dodson and wife Myrna; uncles, Mark Maxwell, Jason Maxwell, Stephen Dodson and wife Newanna, Kasey Dodson, Scott Turk and wife Melinda; Aunts, Callie Maxwell, Shannon Cason; Cousins, Cayden Maxwell, Reyana Maxwell, Daniel Easel, BJ Easel, Amy Easel, Emily Easel, Corine Easel, Aubrey Dodson, Taylor Dodson along with numerous other family members.

She is preceded in death by Grandmother, Beth “Grammie” Ator; Great-grandma, Jeffie Fisher, Great-aunt, Diana Ator; Great-uncle, Maylon “uncle Monkey” Ator; Great-aunt, Leslie Stevens, Cousin, Erin Stevens; uncles, Rey Menchaca; Johnny Grey and close friend, Jordan Rathjen.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Mark Maxwell, Cayden Maxwell, Cole Hood, Joe Crigler, Scott Turk, Cain Zuinga, Chris Helmer and Sebastian Guerrero.
