Jerrel Smith

Jerrel Smith, 76, of Somerville went to his heavenly home on Wednesday, May 25, 2016. Visitation will be Saturday, May 28, 5pm-8pm at Strickland Funeral Home in Somerville. Services will be Sunday, May 29, 10 am at Strickland Funeral Home in Somerville. Interment will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery.

Jerrel was a loving father, brother and grandfather. When he wasn't enjoying time with his family he could be found fishing, dancing or pulling pranks. He had the ability to light up a room just by walking in. Jerrel will be dearly missed by all who knew him because to know him was to love him.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Author E. Smith, Mayme Parlee Hale Smith, brother, Milton Lee Smith and niece, Tia Schmid

He is survived by his sons, Eugene Lewallen and wife Lisa, Mitchell Ray Lewallen and wife Patty, daughter, Donetta Crow and husband Tim, sister, Myrna Dodson and husband Bill, eleven grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers are Jason Ochoa, Floyd Brockenbush, Luis Guerrero, Austin Ray Lewallen, Dawson Bingham, Chris Butts and Wesley Rich.
