Jim Svec, Sr

Graveside services for Vincent Charles “Jim” Svec, Sr., 84, of Bryan are set for 11:00 a.m., Friday, November 8, 2019 at Ecsko Narodni Hrbitov-East Benard Cemetery in East Benard, Texas with Brother Rudy Junek officiating. Mr. Svec passed from this world on November 5, 2019 in Bryan, Texas.
Jim was born August 14, 1935 to Charlie Svec and Albina (Zahradnik) Svec in Hungerford, Texas.
Jim was an outdoorsman. He liked to fish and hunt, and when he was younger, he liked to play baseball and ride bikes with the kids. He loved horses and spent some time as a “pick-up” man at the rodeos. Jim was cotton ginner for many years. Jim was one of those guys that could fix anything; a real “jack-of-all-trades”.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Stanley.
He is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Vincent & Debbie Svec, Jr., of Snook, Jimmy Joe & Donna Svec of Caldwell; daughters and sons-in-law, Julie Ann & Robert Maly of Bryan, Theresa Lynn & Walter White of Somerville; brother and sister-in-law, Charles & Susan Svec; sister and brother-in-law, Henrietta & Ronnie Eben; 19 grandchildren; 52 great grandchildren; 1 great, great grandchild and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other loved ones and family friends.
Pallbearers will be Bennie Husincski, Jr., David Svec, Robert Sebesta, Adam Janac, Michael Svec, and Boyd Bryant. Acting a honorary pallbearers are; Charles Svec, Curtis Sodolak, and Ronnie Eben.
In lieu of flower the family requests memorials be made in Jim’s name to the Hospice facility of your choice.
