Jimmy Taylor, Sr.

Jimmy Taylor, 79, of Somerville went to his heavenly home on Saturday, December 31, 2016. Visitation will be Tuesday, January 3, 6-8pm at Strickland Funeral Home in Somerville. Services will be Wednesday, January 4, 2 pm at the funeral home, with interment to follow at Jimmy Wayne Taylor, Jr. Cemetery.

Jimmy loved to listen to his son play the guitar until the day his son passed. He also liked to listen to old country and western music, travel to casinos to gamble, go on cruises and visit family.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Hoyt Taylor, Sr., Clara Marquart, son, Jimmy Wayne Taylor, Jr., brother, Hoyt Taylor, Jr. and special friend Doris Head.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory daughters, Debra Dawn Armentrout and husband Trampus, Glynis Wagner and husband Brian, sister, June Marie Busse, grandchildren, Michael Wayne Taylor, Stormy Marie Diane Taylor, Matthew Wayne Taylor, Kimberly Taylor, Clara Marie Taylor, Blair Bosserman and numerous great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers are Matthew Wayne Taylor, Robert Zientek, Audie R. Hayes, Sr. “Shorty”, Audie R. Hayes, Jr., Thomas Ed Hayes and David Allen Hayes

Honorary Pallbearers are Brian Wagner and Trampus Armentrout.
