John William Brinkman, a beloved member of the Caldwell community in Texas, passed away on March 2, 2024. He was known for his passion for collecting knives and his vibrant personality that touched the lives of many.
Born on December 13, 1938, in Birch, Texas, John had a deep love for the outdoors. He spent his days fishing, gardening, hunting, attending to cattle, and even enjoyed the occasional visit to casinos. His diverse interests showcased his adventurous spirit and zest for life.
John's proudest accomplishments revolved around his family. He married the love of his life Georgia on August 19, 1961. He is survived by his beloved wife, Georgia Brinkman, his son Dennis Brinkman and wife Twila, as well as his grandchildren Kayla Johnson and husband Jared, Justin Brinkman and wife Marissa. Additionally, he leaves behind great-grandchildren Luke and Kole Johnson and Mackenzie Brinkman, and numerous nieces and nephews.
John is preceded in death by his parents F.A. Brinkman and Annie Brinkman, his uncles: Eldie, Herbert, Dan, David, Alvin, Melvin, and his Aunt Lydia Urbanovsky.
A man of many interests and hobbies, John William Brinkman's kind heart will be fondly remembered by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. May he rest in peace.
Services to honor and celebrate John's life will take place on March 9, 2024 at Strickland Funeral Home in Caldwell, TX. The visitation with family will begin at 10:00 AM followed by a Celebration of Life at 11:00 AM. Friends and family are invited to pay their respects and share stories in remembrance of a life well-lived.
