Karl Bracewell

Karl Bracewell, 88, of Somerville, passed away on Tuesday, December 18.

Visitation will be held at Strickland Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 19 from 11 am – 8 pm, with family present from 6 pm – 8 pm. Service will be Thursday, December 20, 1 pm at Strickland Funeral Home with Reverend Victoria Simons officiating. Interment will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery.

Karl, lovingly known as Pappi, was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather who loved his family. He gave all of his grands and great-grands nicknames. He was a master cabinet maker who could make the most gorgeous cabinets. Karl was an avid reader in his spare time. He also loved to tell jokes and play pranks. Karl served in the Army during the Korean War. He will be missed by all who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his parents, William Clyde Bracewell and Rena Lenhart Bracewell; wife, Patricia Bracewell; sons, KD Bracewell, Kenneth Bracewell; brothers, Frank Bracewell, William Clyde Bracewell and sister, Rena Bracewell.

Survivors include his daughter, Debra Rivas; brother, John Bracewell; grandchildren, Lucio Hernandez, Latrisha Hernandez, Amanda Hernandez, Karl Daniel Rivas, Kenneth Bracewell; great-grandchildren, Rebecca Webb, Abigail Hernandez, Brianna Hernandez, Jaylynn Ferguson, Valerie Hernandez, Natalie Hernandez, Alex Rivas, Angel Rivas, Aiden Rivas, Sarafina Bracewell, Gabriel Bracewell and great-greatgrandchild, Adrian Aguirre, Jr.

Pallbearers are Ed Santleben, Ron Hunter, Kevin Poehl, Adrain Aguirre, Jeremy Krueger and Jeff Krueger.
