Lewis Caddell

Funeral services for Lewis Samuel Caddell, 77, of Caldwell are set for 1:00 p.m., Saturday, December 30, 2017 at Strickland Funeral Home in Caldwell, with Bro. Rick Mitchell officiating. Interment will follow at Chriesman cemetery. Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Friday, December 29, 2017 also at the funeral home. Mr. Caddell passed away on December 24, 2017.

Lewis was born July 31, 1940 to L.F. “Bud” Caddell and Leona (Wooley) Caddell near Belton, Texas. He married Mable Arnold on October 9, 1981 in Deanville, Texas.

He enjoyed watching football, cooking, gardening, and listening to country music, especially Kitty Wells and Hank Williams, Sr. Lewis was a hard worker who had a very loving, big heart and really loves spending time with his grandchildren.

Lewis was preceded in death by his parents; son, Robin Caddell; grandson, Robin Caddell; granddaughter, Selena Caddell; brothers, Donald and Edwin Caddell; sister, Donna Caddell.
He is survived by his wife Mable Caddell of Caldwell; sons, Lewis Samuel Caddell, Jr., of Bryan, Richard Caddell of Caldwell, Robert Caddell of Caldwell; daughter, Sheila Caddell of Caldwell; step-daughters, Patricia Ashbrook of Hartsfield, OK, Angela Vowell of Caldwell, Tammy Vowell of Caldwell, Stefani Williams of Blessing, Texas; sisters and brothers-in-law, Francis & Vernon McKinzee of Temple, Pat & George Lambert of Angleton, Betty Lou Kunts of Evant, Shirley Broussard of Austin; grandchildren, Ernie Philips, Josh Caddell, Christofer Vowell, Amber Neal, Samuel Cody Norris, Steven Storey, Kayla Carter, Crystal Carter, Angela Mustafa, Ryan Mustafa, Sara Mustafa; and numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.

Pallbearers will be Josh Caddell, Christofer Vowell, Samuel Cody Norris, Wesley Wells, Richard Laney, and Rex Cook.
