Little Rich Ellis

Little Rich Ellis passed away on Thursday, February 13, 2025, at his home in Caldwell, Texas. A visitation will be held at Strickland funeral home on Saturday, February 22, 2025, from 11am – 2:00pm. Funeral service will follow at 2pm and the burial will be at the Caldwell Masonic cemetery.

Little Rich Ellis, a man of many trades, from operating heavy equipment to being a roofer. Little built porches, barns, and remodeled homes as a general contractor. Even after retirement, he continued to lend a helping hand with these projects whenever needed. He was also an avid animal lover, caring for his dogs Boogers and Pudgy and his horses. Until the very end, he remained active, baling hay and bringing it in from the field. He had unwavering faith that the man above was taking care of him. Little was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend.

Little is preceded in death by his parents Corbit and Ether Ellis, his wife Reverend Marie Maude Ellis, his son Lester Ellis, his grandson Dale, his sister and 3 brothers.

He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Richard & Debbie Ellis of Corrigan; daughters, Cheri Collier of Caldwell, Rachel Ellis of Caldwell; grandchildren, April MacDonald & Ricky Moore, Sandra & Gerald Batiste, Jr., Samantha Luce, Ricky & Heather Brewer, Jr., Bridgette Luce & Eric Muenzler, Mikeal & Shannon Brunson , Jim Bob Brunson, Scotty & Annie Brunson, Susie Ellis, Vanessa Reynolds; step grandson Eric Hood; great grandchildren, Ashten, Richard, Bryson, Shayla, Patrick, Ayden, Kinzleigh, Katelynn, Victoria, Christopher, Georgia, William, Elijah, Colton, Makayla, Maegan, Mikael, Opal, Lily, Maddox, Luka; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends including Marsha Davidson, Ross Moore and Katherine Barfield. 

Pallbearers are Mikael Brunson, Jim Bob Brunson, Richard Moore Jr., Patrick Brinkman Jr., Colton Muenzler, and Bryson Moore.

Honorary Pallbearers are Ricky Brewer Jr., Ayden Ellis, and Eric Hood
