Margaret Richardson

Margaret Ann Richardson, age 87, of Palestine, formerly of Mabank and Athens, passed away on January 27, 2021 at Palestine Regional Hospital.

Margaret was born in Mabank, Texas October 16, 1933, to Ivy Richardson and Polly (Macon)  Richardson. She graduated from Mabank School in 1950 and from Texas Women's University in 1954.

Margaret worked as a teacher when she first graduated from college and later she worked for Sprint Telephone Company in Athens from 1981 until her retirement in 1997. She had been a resident of TruCare Living Center in Palestine since 2011 and lived there until her death.

The family would like to thank the staff of TruCare for the compassionate and loving care Margaret received there, as they truly became her extended family. She was also blessed with many church friends in Palestine and the family thanks them for the love they showed her.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Louise Richardson Calvin, and  nephews Mike and IKe Junell.

She is survived by a niece and nephew as well as as great and great-great nieces and nephews,

Private Family graveside services will be held at Oaklawn Cemetery in Mabank at a later date
