She grew up in Kansas City, Missouri and graduated from Paseo High School in 1958. Maribelle met and married the love of her life, Harold R. (Bob) Towslee in 1967. They were married on March 11, 1967, and celebrated 57 years of marriage.

Morton and wife Alma; Justin Towslee, Kara Mantey and husband Ricky, Jr., Case Robert Towslee and wife Traci; John Clark Towslee, Karli Bailey and husband Cy, Kerstyn Towslee, Chandler J. Maribelle is also survived by her loving sister and husband, Monabeth and Doug Milliron and children. Her maternal Aunt Dixie Rees and cousins Terry Butts and Betty Vandiviere-Valley and husbands. Her brother-in-law, Gary Towslee and daughter Rosie and children. Along with many cousins and other family members and friends.

Maribelle was predeceased by her mother, Reva Sarah Clark McKinney McCully, her father, Garland A. McKinney, her stepfather, Richard McCully, baby brother Roy McCully, her in-laws, Harold and Helen Towslee, her sisters in law, Nancy Towslee and Shirley Williamson as well as her best friend Gloria Rawls.

Maribelle was a businesswoman. She and Bob along with Mark Caperton established Caperton and Towslee Title Company in 1973. They eventually became the sole owners and Maribelle became office manager in 1983 when Bob became a District Judge. She ran the business until her retirement in the fall of 2004.

Her family was the most important thing to her. She loved to celebrate the holidays, and her house was party central for all things to be celebrated. Maribelle loved her church, her church family and was dedicated to serving her Lord Jesus Christ.

She loved to shop, travel and makeup! Especially bright red and pink lipstick! She loved Elvis Presley, Roy Rogers, Hallmark Movies and Murder She Wrote.  At 5 foot and ¾ inches as she would say she was small in stature but tough as nails. There will never be anyone else like her and we will all miss her and the love she gave to all.

Her visitation will be at Strickland Funeral Home on Friday, August 16, 2004, from 5 to 7 pm. The funeral will be held on Saturday, August 17, 2024, at 3pm at First Baptist Church Caldwell with interment immediately following at the Masonic Cemetery in Caldwell, Texas.
