Mary Gerdes

Mary Bess Gerdes of Deanville Passed away October 5, 2021 in Deanville, TX.

Mary was born August 9, 1932 to Daniel and Mary (Kubecka) Poehl. She married Garnett Gerdes on April 1, 1995 in the Deanville Church. She was an avid reader, a traveler, she worked on a dairy farm where she learned the value of hard work, was a dispatcher for the South Pacific railroad and very involved in the VFW auxiliary, where she held various offices.

Mary is survived by her husband Garnett G. Gerdes of Deanville, Kathy husband Kent Farr of Pasadena, Karen husband Charles Peters of Somerville, Steve and Donna Schoeneman of Caldwell, Wanda husband Terry Menges of Caldwell, 10 Grandchildren, 20 Great Grandchildren and numerous other family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, first husband Louis Schoenemann and numerous siblings.
