Mary Ellen Hinkle

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing our beloved Mary Ellen Hinkle, who left this world to be with her Savior on January 26, 2025. She was 68 years old.

Mary Ellen Hinkle was born on August 17th, 1956, in Dallas, Texas. A woman of deep faith and devotion, she dedicated her life to God and her community. She lived by the teachings of Christ, always offering love, compassion, and encouragement to those around her. Her unwavering belief in God’s grace was evident in all that she did, from her family life to her church involvement.

Mary was an active member of her church and was known for her sense of humor, generosity, and tireless spirit of service. She found joy in prayer, scripture, and fellowship with others. Her faith was a guiding light for all who knew her.

Mary is survived by her sister, Julia Hinkle; her brother and his wife, Walter and Cindy Hinkle; her niece and her children, Kaitlin Wright, Henry, Annie, and Charlie O’Donovan; her nephew and his wife and son, Taylor, Brittnee, and William Wright; her niece, Jessica Hinkle Branham; her nephew and his wife and daughter, John, Maggie, and Mabel Hinkle; and her niece and her husband and sons, Amanda, Kevin, Weston, and Sawyer Matthews. She is preceded in death by her father and mother, John and Sue Hinkle.

In her final days, Mary remained strong in her faith, comforted by the promise of eternal life through Jesus Christ. Her legacy of love, strength, and faith will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

A celebration of Mary Ellen Hinkle’s life will be held in March where we will honor her commitment to Christ and the way she touched each of our lives. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to Alzheimer’s Association in her memory.
