Mary Matula

Mary Matula, 94, beloved Mother and Memaw, was called to her eternal resting place on August 3, 2022. She entered this world on December 28, 1927, in Shiner, TX, born to Joe and Frances Matula. Memaw spent her career as a beautician in various cites in Texas. She truly loved to crochet, and you could catch her making scarves on most days. Memaw was the epitome of grace and devoted her life to serving Jesus Christ. Being an extraordinary mother/grandmother who loved unconditionally she will leave memories behind for generations to come

She is survived by her daughter Barbara Ann Heard and husband Charles of Henderson, TX; daughter Francis Marie Bundick of Brenham, TX; son James Marshall Miller and wife Jamie of Caldwell, TX; grandson Chad Heard of Burton, TX; grandson Chris Heard of Henderson, TX; grandson Casey Heard of Victoria, TX; grandson Kelly Smith of Colorado; grandson Sky Stack of Brenham, TX; grandson Kevin Miller of Ben Wheeler, TX; grandson Scotty Miller and wife Amber of Van, TX; grandson Colten Preuett of Bryan, TX; grandson Daniel Preuett of Grapevine, TX; great-grandchildren Brandy Heard, Donavon Heard, Emerson Heard, Zane Jarrett, Samantha Price, Bryanna Miller, Riggs Miller, Tess Miller, Bowen Miller, Kiahlee Preuett, Leia Preuett and Clark Preuett; great-great-grandchildren Bryson Miller and Channing Worthman; multiple nieces and nephews.

Her funeral took place at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Caldwell, TX. Pallbearers included grandson Chad Heard; grandson Kevin Miller; grandson Scotty Miller; grandson Colten Preuett; grandson Daniel Preuett and great-grandson Donavon Heard.
