Mary Roberts

Services for Mary Elizabeth Roberts, 91, of Caldwell are set for 10:00 a.m., Saturday, December 30, 2017 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Deanville, with Rev. Terry Moon officiating. Interment will follow at the church cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday, December 29, 2017 at Strickland Funeral Home in Caldwell. Mrs. Roberts passed away on December 25, 2017.

Mary was born December 24, 1926 to Samuel Brown Moore and Irene (York) Moore in Freestone County, Texas. She married Ollie Frank Roberts on November 23, 1946.

Preceding her in death were her parents and step-father E.J. Beck.

Mary is survived by her husband Ollie Frank Roberts of Caldwell; special family, James Walter & Debby Schumacher of Deanville, Bobby Lee & Bonnie Schumacher of Deanville, Jeanette & Jim Peed of Deanville; sister-in-law, Evie Lemm of Conroe, numerous nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.

Mary was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Deanville for the past 20 years. She enjoyed canning, crocheting, knitting, and reading her Bible. Mary loved animals and was an avid reader.
