Maya Lazarus

Maya Lazarus passed away on November 24, 2022, Thanksgiving Day at the age of 72. She was surrounded by family, who will always love her and cherish her memory. Maya’s memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 10, 2022, from 5-7pm at Strickland Funeral Home in Caldwell, Texas.

Maya loved to travel and to dance. She was passionate about animal rescue and started a nonprofit to help the animals of Burleson County. Maya was kind, brave, and brought a smile to everyone who knew her. Maya was a wonderful mother and wife. She was a caring teacher, a talented author, and a beautiful spirit. She will be missed deeply, always.
