Milton Paul

Funeral services for Milton Melvin Paul, 92, of Caldwell are set for 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 12, 2017, with Bro. Matthew Paul officiating, at Strickland Funeral Home in Caldwell. Interment will follow at New Tabor Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Monday, September 11, 2017 also at the funeral home. Mr. Paul passed away on September 9, 2017 in San Antonio, Texas

Milton was born July 10, 1925 to Frank Paul and Lydia (Havel) Paul in Burleson County, Texas. He married Velma (Gonzales) Paul on September 19, 1945.

Milton enjoyed fishing, hunting, and watching sports as well as, gardening tomatoes, corn, peppers, and cantaloupes. He loved trees, riding his lawn tractor and maintaining his farm.

Milton is survived by his daughter Shirley Buxkemper of San Francisco, California; very special nephew Johnny Paul, Sr. and wife Veda of Schertz, Texas; numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Velma (Gonzales) Paul; son, Melvin Paul; sister, Lydia Simonek; and brothers, Frank, Bill, Joe, Ed, and John Paul.

Active pallbearers will be Johnny Paul, Sr., Johnny Paul, Jr., Johnny Paul, III, Steven Paul, Dustin Paul, Nathan Moore, Cody Paul, and Brady Paul; with Joshua Paul, LeRoy Paul, and C. Alan Parbury acting as honorary pallbearers.

Military honors will be provided by VFW Post # 4458.
