Mindie Louise Ferrell

September 13, 1954 — December 8, 2024

College Station, TX

Mindie Louise (Sebesta) Ferrell, 70, of College Station, formerly of Snook, went to be with her Savior, Jesus Christ on Sunday, December 8, 2024, in Bryan. A celebration of Mindie’s life will be held on Thursday, December 12, 2024, at Strickland Funeral Home Caldwell Chapel at 2:00 p.m., with Pastor Mario Parga officiating. Burial will follow in Snook Cemetery. The family will receive guests on Wednesday evening from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mindie was born September 13, 1954, in Bryan, Texas, to Bedrich (BR) Sebesta and Sadie (Macik) Sebesta. She married the love of her life, Stanley Ferrell on February 15, 1975. They were blessed with nearly 50 years together and two daughters.

Mindie was a talented and prolific artist in graphic design, art and home decorating. She worked for American Classifieds for 19 years in the graphic design department. Mindie and Stan were devoted Christ followers and members of Aldersgate Church of Brazos Valley for over 40 years. Mindie was baptized and confirmed at Snook Brethren Church. She loved Jesus and was always available to pray...she was the family's prayer warrior! Mindie had many hobbies and interests, such as attending church, any Aggie-related sporting events, watching Dallas Cowboys football and Houston Astros baseball, or just sitting on her porch enjoying the bluejays and road runners. She loved relaxing in the pool that Stan set up for her on the deck, and watching the bluebonnets bloom in their yard. She and Stan loved Galveston beach and the Thursday date nights they shared.

Mindie was the captain of the family ship and a strong anchor for Alison and Lexi. She was also the family’s health and well-being advisor and their homeopathic “pharmacist.” She loved her family, especially her children, grandchildren and grand fur babies. When her daughters were young, she never missed a sport or school event.

She was preceded in death by her parents BR and Sadie Sebesta, sister Kay Kennon, brother-in-law Milton Marek, and father-in-law Turner Ferrell.

Mindie is survived by her loving family: husband Stanley Ferrell of College Station; daughters Andrea Ferrell and Alison Colley both of Snook; brothers Bennie Ray Sebesta and wife Patrice, Richard Sebesta and wife Laura both of Snook; sisters Sadie Zboril and husband Jerry of Lyons, Bonnie Chandler and husband Corkey of Snook, and Linda Kirkpatrick and husband John of Bertram; sister-in-law Vicki Marek of Caldwell; brothers-in-law Glenn Ferrell and wife Pat of Caldwell, and Chris Kennon of Georgetown; mother-in-law Josephine Ferrell of Caldwell; grandchildren Jordyn Colley, Lexi Colley and Tyler Colley; beloved family friend Tim Hamff and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives, friends and her church family.

Serving as pallbearers will be Joseph Sebesta, Kirk Macik, Waldo Sebesta, James Marek, Carson Scitern, and Trent Meckel.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to Aldersgate Church of the Brazos Valley.
