Myron Lee Brown passed away on December 9, 2024, in Somerville, Texas. Born on October 11, 1944, in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, Myron lived a life with love for his family, a spirit of adventure, and a competitive nature that saw him embracing various hobbies and interests.
Myron was married to his beloved wife, Susie, for an impressive 55 years. His love for family was evident in everything he did, whether it was through shared activities or simply cherishing the moments spent together.
Throughout his life, Myron engaged in a multitude of activities. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed playing racquetball, pushing himself to be competitive in sports. He also found joy in the great outdoors, riding mountain bikes, going fishing, and camping. His adventurous spirit extended to riding motorcycles and displayed his tenacity not only on the golf course but also in leisure pursuits such as bowling.
Survivors include his wife Susie Brown, his daughters Samantha Brown Keller and husband Lloyd, and Heather Brown, his son Myron Brown Jr., his brother Larry Young and wife Connie, his sister Karen Brown Hale, a sister-in-law Marilyn Hillius and 6 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and many other family and friends.
Myron’s visitation will be held on December 17, 2024, starting at 1:00 PM and concluding at 2:00 PM at Strickland Funeral Home located at 530 TX-36, Caldwell, Texas. This will be followed by a funeral service from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
He will be remembered fondly for his dedication to family, his competitive spirit in his many interests, and his enduring love for his wife, Susie. His legacy will undoubtedly continue to inspire those who had the privilege of knowing him.
