Myrtle Coneley

Graveside services for Myrtle L. Coneley, 85, of Somerville, Texas are set for 2:00 p.m., Thursday, October 1, 2020 at Smetana Cemetery near Bryan, Texas. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 30. 2020 at Strickland Funeral Home in Somerville. Mrs. Coneley passed away September 27, 2020 in Brenham, Texas.

Myrtle was born November 11, 1934 to William W. McWhorter and Helen (Riggs) McWhorter in Anderson, Texas.

Myrtle was a very hardworking woman that could probably outwork any man. She loved and grew many roses and was a very sweet, loving and kind person.

She is preceded in death by her parents, brother Willie Norman McWhorter, and sister, Betty Jean Elkins.

Myrtle is survived by her son, Roger Wayne Peterson of Spicewood; daughter, Doris Lanell McGrew of Houston; grandchildren, Christina Ghezzi, Sheri McGrew; great grandchildren Anthony Gazzi, Zachary Gazzi, Sophia Gazzi, and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Mavin Peterson, Eric Peterson, Martin Peterson, Harold Peterson, Allan Peterson and Floyd Peterson will act as honorary pallbearers.
