Patty Jane Taylor passed peacefully in her home on June 15, 2022, at the age of 94. She was born on March 2, 1928, in Cogar, Oklahoma to Claude and Agnes Burchfield. Visitation for Patty is on Sunday from 5-8pm at Strickland Funeral Home in Caldwell, Texas. Burial following the service at St. Johns Lutheran Cemetery in Deanville, Texas.
Patty married the love of her life, Billy Joe Taylor, on October 11, 1947. After marrying Billy, they moved to Odessa, Texas, and there they raised 4 children. Patty and her husband owned and operated Falcon casing crews out of Deanville, Texas, they were in business for over 30 years. She loved to travel, in fact, she visited every state in the United States, including Alaska and Hawaii. She also traveled to Australia, Europe, and Canada.
Patty loved spending time with her family, especially cooking for family and friends. She would ride the bus to pick up children for church and the children called her Miss Betty Crocker. She just loved helping in any way she could, for years, she volunteered at the hospital.
Patty was a member of the First Assembly of God in Caldwell; she was the first face you would see coming into church, greeting you with a smile and a hug. She was a prayer warrior and actively involved in the women’s ministry. She loved her church family.
We like to thank Brazos Valley Hospice for everything they did for momma.
