Rankin Williams, Jr.

Rankin Lee Williams, Jr. passed away on March 3, 2023 at the age of 61. A memorial service celebrating his life will be held on Wednesday March 8th at 2pm at Strickland Funeral Home. The family looks forward to hearing your best stories of Uncle Rankin.

Rankin was born on November 21, 1961, in Freeport, TX to parents Rankin Sr. (Pat) and Betty Williams. Rankin was always a colorful character and a jokester, even as a kid. He always loved making people laugh with jokes and pranks.

Rankin met Theresa Pivonka, the love of his life, when she got a job at his dad's meat market. They were married on June 27, 1981. They spent 41 wonderful years together. Rankin was a loving husband and father. His daughters were his pride and joy and he was a proud "girl dad". He also loved being Uncle Rank to his beloved nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Rankin enjoyed hunting, fishing, and causing a little mischief. He and Kayla shared a special bond and they did everything together. Rankin loved the simple pleasures in life and most of all he valued time with his family and friends.

Rankin was employed as a truck driver for over 30 years. He was a dedicated employee and always took care to arrive early for his shift and inspect his truck before leaving for the day.Rankin is survived by his loving wife Theresa; their daughter Kayla; his siblings Cory Williams (wife Lisa), Candy Hill (husband Jerry), Patty Balcer (husband Pistol), Lori (husband David), Cindy (husband Bill) Holder; sisters-in-law Rosie Schoenfeld (Paul), Lily Zboril, Sarah Pivonka; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and friends.

Rankin is preceded in death by his beloved daughter Amber; nephew Jeremy Hill; and his parents.

Honorary pallbearers will be Vernell Wilson, James Metzroth, Rick Hickman, Paul Schoenfeld, Jon Hill, Brian Schoenfeld, AJ Zboril, Matt Free, Luke Flores, Bentley Free, Lincoln Free, Parker Schoenfeld.
