Richard Allison

Richard Craig Allison passed away on Wednesday, February 15, 2023. A visitation for Richard will be held from 3pm-6pm Sunday February 19, 2023, the Holy Rosary begins at 6pm, at Strickland Funeral Home in Caldwell, Texas. The funeral service will begin at 10:30am on Monday, February 20, 2023, at St. Mary Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.

Richard Allison was born on June 4, 1973, in Houston Texas, to Richard Preston Allison and Susan Bryson Allison. He served as a Fire fighter for the Woodlands Fire Department for 20 years, as a driver/operator/EMT-B. Throughout his career he received many awards and accolades which included a Commendation Unit Award. He loved his job and his firefighter brothers. His strong work ethic was appreciated by all. Richard was known to be one of the first ones at work and one of the last ones to leave his shift.  He truly cherished the relationships with his fellow firefighters who were his extended family.

Richard had a heart for children, he enjoyed showing the fire truck to children on their class trip. He was the best uncle he could be to his nephews and niece. He loved family outings and tried to get together as often as he could. He was a true outdoors man at heart, he loved to exercise, lift weights, ride horses, and trail rides. He loved all water related activities like boating, skiing, and snorkeling. He will be deeply missed by all who know him.

He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents; Thomas Preston Allison Jr. and Mary Agnes Allison; his maternal grandparents; William Bryson, Harvey Weeks and Jimmie Lee Weeks, his cousin GySgt. Spencer Minter and his Beloved Great Danes Dallas and Luke.

In his life: Richard leaves his parents Richard and Susan Allison, his brothers Christopher Allison and wife Jamie, and Mark Gray; his sister Kimberly Allison Coers and husband Christopher; his nephews Taylor, Cameron, and Sean Gray; and his niece Lane Gray, and numerous friends and extended family.

Pallbearers include Cameron Gray, Taylor Gray, Sean Gray, Christopher Allison, Mark Gray, Thomas Paul Allison II

Honorary Pallbearers: are Thomas Paul Allison, Daniel Patrick Allison, Elton Festari, and The Woodlands Fire Department

In lieu of flowers, contributes can be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Strickland Funeral Home in Caldwell, Texas.
