Robert Oetzman

Services for Robert “Bob” Oetzman, 62, of Somerville are set for 10:00 a.m., Thursday, October 3, 2019 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Deanville, with Pastor Terry Moon officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 2, 2019 at Strickland Funeral Home in Caldwell. Mr. Oetzman passed away on September 29, 2019 in Bryan, Texas

Robert was born December 20, 1956 to Robert Oetzman and Ann (Palenshus) Oetzman in Garden City, Michigan.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife, Pauline (Lindsey) Oetzman of Somerville; son, Jason Dyson and wife Megan of Granbury, Texas; step-daughters, Tricia Lugo of Tomball, Texas, Carrie Smith and husband Jason of Tomball, Texas, Valerie Moline and fiancé DL Krueger of Somerville; brother, Dan Oetzman of Jackson, Michigan; sister, Sue Yarbrough and husband Ron of Livonia, Michigan; grandchildren, Haley Bateman and husband Tyler, Madison Lugo, Cameron Smith, Taylor Smith, Keagan Smith, Jacob Moline, and Jace Krueger.

Robert enjoyed boating, camping, BBQing, tinkering in his workshop and making his own beer. He liked motorcycle riding with his friend Gary; they once rode around the rim of the United States, making golf cart trails to ride, having fun and enjoying life to the fullest. He also loved spending time and traveling with Pauline.

The family requests memorial donations be made to the St. John’s Building Fund.
