Robert Weldon Taylor

Robert Weldon Taylor passed away on September 21, 2024 in Caldwell, Texas. A graveside service is scheduled for Friday September 27, 2024, at Oaklawn Cemetery at 2 pm.

Robert lived his life on the edge, always looking for the next adrenaline rush. He enjoyed working on any engine that was put in front of him, from planes to cars to motorcycles to anything that had wheels and went fast. And if it didn't go fast, he made it fast. And while he was working in his garage, he would always have the radio on to listen to the oldies of rock-n-roll and country. As he became older and couldn’t get to the garage, he enjoyed the classics of western movies. 

Robert is preceded by his mother, Charlotte Elizabeth Taylor, his father W.M. Taylor, his Son Robert Wesley Taylor and his Sister Charlotte Ann Simpson.

He is survived by his loving daughter Tina Elizabeth Spikes and husband, Rickey, his grandchildren, Garrett Taylor Briscoe and wife, Hope Joy Briscoe, and Katelyn Elizabeth Lay, his great grandchild, Gracie Ann Briscoe, and his dog, Lightening. 

Nieces and Nephews, Randy Simpson and his wife and children. Patti Simpson and children, Luci Simpson and Charlotte Lucille; and Johnnie and husband. 

Robert is also survived by his son, Rod Taylor, his daughter Rhonda Kay, their children, Nikki Pierce and husband, Jonathan; Justin Taylor and wife, Shelby; Jake Taylor; and Pete, also the great grandchildren; Teagan and Gemma Pierce.
