Visitation services for Rosa Ortega, 72, of Caldwell will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 1, 2017 at Strickland Funeral Home in Caldwell. Mrs. Ortega passed away on March 21, 2017 in Caldwell, Texas.

Rosa was born August 30, 1944 to Lucio Lopez and Mary (Benavides) Lopez in Burleson County, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Sirildo Ortega; son, Sirildo Ortega, Jr., brothers, Lorenzo Lopez, Richard Lopez; sister, Helen DeLeon and an infant sister.

Rosa is survived by daughters, Priscilla Ortega Cruz of Houston, Christina Ortega Torres of Caldwell; brothers Tommy Lopez of Tomball, Lucio Lopez, Jr., of Caldwell, Joseph Lopez of Caldwell; sisters, Martha Lopez Cook of Katy, Lucy Lara of Houston; grandchildren, Elizabeth Whitecross, Andrew Cruz, Victor Rodriguez, Melanie Rodriguez, Richard Cruz, Jennifer Cruz, Brandon Rodriguez, Joseph Cruz; seven great grandchildren; and many other friends and family.
