Ruth E. Neimann, 90 of Caldwell, died Saturday June 20, 2020 at Pflugerville Health and Care Center. On August 4, 1929 she was born near Lyons, Texas to Hugo and Mammie Schoppe Ulich Neimann. Ruth was baptized, confirmed and married in the Evangelical United Church of Christ (EUCC) of Lyons. She was united in marriage to Herbert G. Neimann on January 2, 1946. They were married for over 40 years until Herbert’s death on December 19, 1986.

Ruth and Herbert were life members of the EUCC. Ruth loved her Lord, her church, her family, friends, relatives and neighbors. She was a caring individual as evidence of caring for those who found it difficult to perform everyday tasks, the care of her farm and the weekly maintenance performed at the church for many years. She reveled in country life, work and a good cup of coffee with relatives and friends. She was also a member of the Burleson County Farm Bureau, the Texas Cattle Raisers Association and the American Legion Auxiliary-Marion Mays Post 455 of Somerville, Texas.

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, and husband, Herbert Gus Neimann. Ruth is survived by one son, Herbert Ray Neimann and wife Betty; her granddaughter Krisha Crosley, husband Robert and their children, Wyatt and Raeley; her granddaughter Shana McCune, husband Chad and their children Natalie, Marcala and Jamesie; and her granddaughter Summer Neimann. Ruth has only one brother, John Edward Neimann and wife Carol. Ruth had numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

The burial service is scheduled for 10:30. Interment will follow at the Evangelical United Church of Christ Cemetery in Lyons.

Honorary pallbearers are John Neimann, Leroy Stavinoha, Doug Brinkman, Michael Faust, Wayne Edwards and Walter Brode. These men provided Ruth help and encouragement as she worked hard and struggled to keep the farm productive. Ruth’s family is grateful for their compassion and kindness.
