Sandra Angell Sefcik, 60 of Caldwell, TX passed away Tuesday, March 16, 2021 at her home in Caldwell. Visitation will be held on Friday, March 19, 2021 from 6 - 8pm at Strickland Funeral Home in Caldwell, TX. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 20, 2021 at Strickland Funeral Home in Caldwell, TX.
Sandra was born on October 25,1960 to James and Mary Angell in Cameron, TX. Her biggest passion was serving God through her ministry of teaching art to the children at First United Methodist Church in Caldwell. She poured her heart and soul into the Kingdom kids ministry. She was an Art teacher at Caldwell ISD for many years. Sandra enjoyed quilting, crocheting blankets, photography, the Renaissance Festival and the Kolache Festival where she married the love of her life on September 14, 1996. She was known by her grandson as the "Pirate Grandma". When she made a quilt or blanket for someone special it was very personal for her and the recipient a one of a kind item not just a quilt or blanket it was a love gift.
She is survived by her husband, Kenny Sefcik; her father James Angell; sons, David Hoot and Chris Hoot; daughters, Melissa Hoot and Heather Sefcik Montalvo; sister, Sharon Gresham and grandson, Heero Montalvo. She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Angell; sister, Patricia Angell and niece Crystal Cooper.
Honorary Pallbearers Deanie Gold, Brenda Knesek, Pam Cantey, Ollie Collins and Diana See.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to the children and youth group at First United Methodist Church of Caldwell.
