Funeral Services for Vlasta Olga (Kulhanek) See, 99, of Snook are set for 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 10, 2019 at Strickland Funeral Home in Caldwell, with Pastor Rudy Junek officiating. Interment will follow at Snook Cemetery. Visitation will also be Saturday, prior to the service beginning at 10:00 a.m. Mrs. See passed away August 8, 2019 in at CHI St. Joseph Manor in Caldwell, Texas surrounded by her family.
Vlasta was born December 31, 1919 to Frank Kulhanek and Frances (Martinka) Kulhanek in Snook, Texas. She was born and lived in Snook her entire life. She graduated from Snook High School and married Ervin Otto See, Sr. on April 27, 1940. They farmed and ranched in the Snook and the Brazos bottom area. She was a member of Faith United Church of Christ in Bryan, Texas, and a lifelong member of SPJST in Snook, Texas. She was active in her church and her children’s and grandchildren’s school and extracurricular activities.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; her father and mother-in-law, John & Minnie See and her sister and brother-in-law, Lillie & J.W. Edmondson.
Vlasta is survived by her seven children, Elaine & Weldon Ginzel, La Val & Bobby Siegert, Sara & James Thompson, Marilyn & Larry Zschech, Ervin & Diana See, Frank & Maggie See and James See; 17 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be James Ginzel, Michael Ginzel, Jonathan Zschech, Travis See, Scott See, Nathan See, Stephen See, Michael Thompson and David Thompson. Honorary pallbearers are Mark Fuller, Lee Fay and Jeff Robertson.
The family wishes to thank Sue Smith and all the caregivers at Copperas Hollow and CHI St. Joseph Manor for all their care.
Memorial donations can be made to Faith United Church of Christ in Bryan, Texas.
