Wallace Evans, Sr.

A Celebration of Life Service for Wallace Eugene “Wally” Evans, Sr., 58, of Caldwell is scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 25, 2019 at Burleson County Cowboy Church, with Bro. Harvey Abke officiating. Mr. Evans passed away on September 19, 2019 in Caldwell, Texas

Wally was born January 18, 1961 to Gilbert Redfield Evans, Sr. and Shirley Jean (Jackson) Evans in Chicago, Illinois. He married Clara Brennan on January 18, 1988.

Wally was always thinking of others and was the kind of man who would do anything for anyone. He was a big kid at heart who enjoyed watching cartoons and eating cereal. His favorites were Fruit Loops and Cocoa Puffs. He loved all animals, especially horses and his parrot “Theo”. Wally had a strong work ethic and was dedicated to supporting his family. He was an all-around good man, father and husband.

Wally was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife, Clara (Brennan) Evans of Caldwell; son, Wallace Evans, Jr. of Bryan; daughters, Sharon Evans of Duncanville, Texas, Cathy Erwin and husband Paul of Caldwell, Melissa Lowery and husband Nathan of Edna; brothers, Gilbert Evans, Jr. and wife Corinna of Belleville, Michigan, Andrew Cantu of Belleville, Michigan; sisters, Shirley Reddell and fiancé John Gentry of Jay, Oklahoma, Pam Correa of Missouri, Rebecca Kassl and husband James of North Carolina, Norma Lambert and husband Michael of Clinton, Missouri; 10 grandchildren, Kye Evans, Kyran Johnson, Nashad Lindley, Rain Rogers, Zia Rogers, Katy Hardesty, T.J. Hardesty, Autumn Strickland, Rebacca Strickland, Caleb Lowery; step grandson, P.J. Erwin; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives, friends and church families.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be given to the family to defer expenses.
