Wally Coronado, Jr.

Wally Coronado, Jr., 65, of Somerville passed away on Thursday, September 1, 2016. Visitation will be Monday, September 5, 6 - 8pm, Rosary recited at 7pm, at Strickland Funeral Home in Somerville. Services will be held at St. Ann's Catholic Church, Tuesday, September 6 at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery.

Wally was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, family man and friend. He spent many years coaching and watching his kids and grandkids play sports. It was known that if your last name was Coronado you were going to be an athlete whether you liked it or not. Wally was always there whenever anyone needed him, earning him the title of "Town Dad!" When he wasn't at a sports event, Wally loved to travel and sneak his wife off to Vegas for a fun weekend. He will be remembered for his smile and loving personality.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Wally Coronado, Sr. and Mary Gonzales, brother, Roy Coronado and sister, Emily Flores.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, wife, Connie Coronado, sons, Wally A. Coronado and wife Sherry, Chris Coronado and wife Rebecca, daughter, Crystal Martinez and husband Robert, brother, Ramon Coronado and wife Lucy, sisters, Gloria Siracusa, Elaine Catalan and husband Moises, grandchildren, Matthew Coronado, Sr., Nathan Coronado, Hayley Coronado, Keis Coronado, Major Coronado, Arya Martinez, great-grandchildren, Avery Balboa, Matthew Coronado, Jr. and numerous nieces, nephews, sister-in-laws and brother-in-laws.

Serving as Pallbearers will be Matthew Coronado, Sr., Nathan Coronado, Keis Coronado, Major Coronado, Jonathan Balboa and Visente Coronado.

Memorials can be directed to the St. Ann's Catholic Church.
